What is User Account Customization?

User Account Customization allows Admin account to configure and manage user access, permissions, and system functionalities based on roles and responsibilities. This page enables fine-tuning of access levels, ensuring that each user, from basic staff to higher-level personnel, has the appropriate access needed for their role. It also provides control over system features, notifications, and mobile settings to enhance the user experience and ensure smooth operation across the organization.

  • Feature access can be controlled to align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • All system settings, user permissions, and behaviors can be managed from a single, unified interface.
  • The system can track when assignments and notifications are viewed or acknowledged.

 

Here's how to navigate to the page :

  1. From the desktop's navigation bar, select the User Management and select "User Account Customisation" in the left sidebar menu.

  1. On the User Account Customization page, you can:

  • Click on a specific user to modify individual permissions – recommended for better control and reduced impact.
  • Click “Company Settings” to apply changes for all users – use with caution, as this will affect every user in the system.

  1. Control Settings

    The Control Settings panel provides toggle switches for easily enabling or disabling features, along with informational icons (i) that offer additional context about each setting's purpose and impact. It manages general system features, behaviors, and functionality options, determining which features and functionality are available to users.

  1. Access Settings

Access Settings control user access permissions across various entities in the system. These settings determine the actions users can perform within different system modules, ensuring that each user has the appropriate level of access to perform their tasks efficiently and securely.

Benefits of Access Settings:

    • Data Security Enhancement: Protect sensitive information by limiting who can view and modify data
    • Operational Accountability: Track and control who can perform critical actions like deletions
    • Workflow Control: Ensure proper process flows by restricting certain actions to appropriate personnel
    •  Data Loss Prevention: Reduce mistakes by limiting edit capabilities to qualified personnel

Access permissions are typically categorized into different types, including View, Assign, Creation, and Deletion, each of which governs specific actions:

Access Type  Description
 View

Allows users to view or read data only.

If only the View flag is enabled:

  • Users can't view other people's jobs.

  • Users can't add, edit, or delete jobs.

 Assign

Allows users to assign permissions or edit job details of other users.


If the Assign flag is enabled, the View flag will automatically be enabled:

  • Users can edit other people's jobs.

  • Users can view other people's jobs.

  • Users can't create or delete jobs.

 Creation

Allows users to create new jobs.

If only the Creation flag is enabled:

  • Users can create jobs.

  • Users can't delete jobs.

  • Users can only view their own jobs.

  • Users can only edit their own jobs.

 Deletion

Allows users to remove jobs.

If only the Deletion flag is enabled:

  • Users can delete jobs.

  • Users can't create jobs.

  • Users can only view their own jobs.

  • Users can only edit their own jobs.

 

  1. Notifications Settings

The Notification Settings feature serves as a centralized control panel for managing alerts and notification across your organization. This powerful configuration tool enables administrators to define which events trigger notifications and how those notifications are delivered based on team members' roles and responsibilities.

Benefits of Notification Settings:

    • Reduced Information Overload
      Deliver notifications only to relevant team members to avoid unnecessary distractions.

    • Improved Response Times
      Ensure that critical updates reach the right people promptly for faster action.

    • Enhanced Team Coordination
      Keep team member informed of important developments, promoting seamless collaboration.

      Track when assignments and notifications are viewed or acknowledged by users

  1. Mobile Settings

The Mobile Settings feature allow control over how the mobile application operates. This specialized configuration panel allows administrators to tailor the mobile experience by restricting specific access points, managing data visibility, and optimizing performance for users working in the field.
